Chick Lit with a lesson?
Just as you want to diversify your investments, Aridni found a popular piece of “chick lit” that offers a few tidbits on wealth. Lipstick Jungle by Candace Bushnell (creator of Sex and the City) provides an insight into the lives of three women rolling in the million dollar paychecks. Sometimes, I couldn’t help ask myself, “Why the heck am I reading this kind of stuff?” Then, the insight into gaining wealth shot out.
For guys and those who don’t want to pick up the book, here’s the lesson worth noting from a billionaire male character who is teaching the millionaire woman how to further succeed:
He says that making money is like Monopoly- A GAME! You have to get the properties and projects like Broadway and Park Place that others want in that business. Start off with the Mediterranean Avenues of your investment type, then grow and take risks. Get investors interested in you so that you can grow even more. Start taking the power away from others. Make investors think that you’re about to take off; make them think you’re presenting an opportunity to make money without a lot of risks; then you call the shots.
So where do we start now, huh?
