You’re one year older, but are you one year wiser?

A little over a week ago I had another birthday. Of all the things that one expects on a birthday, I got one thing I didn’t expect. For my birthday I received an email. No big deal right? People get emails every day. I just never thought this person would email me.

What made this email different was who it was written by, and what the subject matter caused me to think about. The email knew what my business ideas were and wanted to know how all of them were going.

The person also wanted to know about a crippled lady that I should have done more to help and won’t have a chance to again.

Who is this mystery emailer, and why did he know everything about me? How could he writing something so powerful that it would be enough to knock me out and cause me to write an entire post about it?

The truth is that the person is somebody who I am quite familiar with. I am just a little more knowledgeable about him than he is of me. The email was written back on Sept 12, 2005 to and from yours truly. Thanks to a site called FutureMe.org, you can write emails and forget about them, to be delivered at a future date.

I believe in accountability, and with this reminder flying at me was a real wakeup call. I haven’t done much with those projects. Now I have to catch-up with those projects. I’ll have to reevaluate them to determine which ones are still a good idea and which ones are actually feasible.

So if you’ll excuse me, I have to go make up for some lost time.
