The time to act is now

What do you do when you run out of money? Get more. When you run out of spaghetti? Get more. Run out of shoelaces? Get more. Run out of time? Get… get what?

I had a friend who always talked about the day she was going to be rich. We were in third grade, and she already picked out her house and car in magazines. She knew everything’except how to actually become rich. Today, she’s working off gobs of debt through the temp agency, struggling as a laid off secretary.

Meanwhile, Todd took a card table to the end of the block. Kool Aid stands weren’t enough, and it showed. Todd rolled in the quarters! In the summers, he sold sand dollars. At 7:00 a.m., he sold hot coffee. Some of his businesses failed’like homemade Halloween decorations. Though most of his endeavors succeeded. The point is, he didn’t talk about some day. He turned the day to make money into TODAY. We were kids, yet he was becoming a self-made rich kid.

So if you have a brilliant money-generating idea, go for it. Stop talking about it. Stop only reading articles about it’do it! Time is more valuable than money because time is what holds the potential to bring you that money. If your first ideas don’t work, try another and keep trying another.

Bestselling author of “The Christmas Box”, Richard Paul Evans, attempted a myriad of business pursuits, including the management of a tuxedo shop. He constantly struggled with debt until his efforts in writing brought him huge success. Evans didn’t wait until another day, though. He made the best of his interests. As a result, his time has given him and his children’s charities wonderful wealth and opportunity.

So what will you do when you run out of time?
