Latest book list worth your buck (and books that aren’t)
Top books worth my dollar spent: By Katie
- Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki: For years, we’ve heard of this book. I’ve finally picked it up and suggest you do the same. The book encourages you to OWN a company instead of work for one and make the money work for you. Kiyosaki offers start-up knowledge we can use instead of bragging about his own achievements.
- The Girl’s Guide to Starting Your Own Business by Caitlin Friedman and Kimberly Yorio: Great nuts and bolts to beginning a business. The book is targeted toward young women, though if men don’t mind the pink cover, they’d be wise to open this book, too.
Books not worth wasting your dollar:
(In other words, I can’t believe I wasted my money here instead of making profit-growing investments somewhere else)
- Trump: Think Like a Billionaire by Donald Trump: If you’re interested in pictures of Trumps trophy wife, which wines you have to have for Trump to consider you successful, and Trump;s esteem, you might consider this book. If you want to gain insight into how you can find success, don’t look here.
- The ABCs of Real Estate Investing by Ken McElroy (Rich Dad, Poor Dad series book, believe it or not): The book contains a few good tips if you’re willing to spend the time sifting for them. The most successful people I know in real estate seemed to follow the completely opposite strategy from that suggested in this text.
- Who Moved my Cheese? By Spencer Johnson and Kenneth H. Blanchard: While this book is interesting, we’re trying to become rich for ourselves, not readjust within the rat race, 9-5 structure. This book isn’t for us.
I’m always reading, always learning. As a result, I’ll be sure to keep you posted on books worth your investment money.
