Batman Joins the Aridni Team!! Oh wait, it’s just Todd
Today on Aridni we are going to introduce you to one of the key members of Aridni. We’ll be focusing on Todd.
Todd is currently attending the University of Montana in Missoula working towards a double major to receive degrees in Business Marketing and Business Management. Along the way Todd is also working towards a minor in Media Arts.
Todd has always had an entrepreneurial mind and business sense almost came second nature to him. Perhaps it is because as a child, he took on more ventures than most people even consider in their lives. Some were more successful, while others failed completely. Even though he is young, getting involved and passionate as a child continued as he aged and he now easily can adapt to changes in atmospheres and markets.
This article is hard to write about myself in the third person, so with that I’ll completely switch perspective if you don’t mind and talk about myself in the first person.
I have been focusing my attention on projects and businesses quite a bit. The best way to retain knowledge is to actually use it and then teach it. You can read a thousand articles about investing, but does that make you a better investor?
In theory yes, but it’s too bad that we live in a reality where this is not always the case. Yes, you want to know everything you can, especially when it comes to your fiscal matters. But there is a point where you have to say, “Okay, I have read through these articles, or books, or whatever, and now it is time to put that information to use.”
Aridni is us trying to put that information to use. Not necessarily just in the case of the stock market or other entrepreneurial ventures, but in life. So we might make mistakes every now and then, perhaps some of the ideas may follow logic that doesn’t fit every situation or hold up to extreme scrutiny. But who’s does? I’m not making excuses here and saying that nobody is perfect so therefore we’ll allow a sloppy product.
What I am saying is that these ideas are what we have found to be true in our past experience and with our past studies. We encourage you to let us know at any time if we have mixed up facts, if our perceptions are skewed, or if your knowledge and experience contradict ours. You can help expand our minds, while we help to expand yours.
I know that the way you are trained to think in college doesn’t necessarily reflect how you will be thinking when it comes to actual implementations of them. Everyone out there makes mistakes. Perhaps you are applying something that is irrelevant, or perhaps you are simply failing to consider the most relevant thing there is. It may be that you simply don’t see the bigger picture because you are to focused on one miniscule detail.
Anyone who thinks that they can earn a great return every time with every investment is going to be in for a rude awakening once they try doing so.
As this article wanes further and further away from its initial idea which was simply, “Introduce Myself” I want to say one more thing before returning back to the topic. And that is that experience matters. And you get it at the same rate no matter what. Do you want to have another two hours experience of watching tv, or would you rather spend the same amount of time gain experience in learning and furthering your own self?
In the future what will be more valuable in a couple years? Being able to watch tv like a pro or building enough skills, knowledge, and experience to be able to do anything you possibly wanted?
Now I don’t know about you, but I would choose the resources. I may be only able to create one birdhouse in those two hours now, but if I spent those two hours every week on developing these carpentry and design ideas, can you imagine the sheer number of birdhouses I would accumulate by this time next year. The production times and quality of the birdhouses would be improved by such a large percentage value.
Now getting back to me, what you read is what I want to do. Sort of… I don’t want to build birdhouses, but I do want to be able to look back at myself in a couple of years and say something to the effect of, “Wow, Todd from 2006 didn’t know anything about …. I am so much smarter and cooler and way more awesome than he is! I have accomplished the exact same things he has, plus this and this and this/”
I’ve got ideas, some for business ventures, and others to save the world. So what do I need to do in order to make these ideas become realized, to make these dreams come true?
- Experience – It’s not going to be easy for me to save the world without some sort of clue as to what’s going on.
- Partners – People to believe in me, who are willing to work with me
- Allies and other Relationships – People who are quite as close as the partnerships, however just as necessary. These are people who can help me to achieve more while I help them to achieve more.
- Monetary revenue and resources – Funding superheroes isn’t exactly the cheapest thing but it is important. You can’t steal the batmobile and be a good guy! You have to pay for every little toy that helps you save the world. I wonder if Superman’s glasses are tax deductible.
Those are the four things that I hope to build and obtain through Aridni. The bad guys aren’t going to stop themselves and the world isn’t going to save itself.
WE’VE GOT THE CALL!!
SUIT UP!!!
